Terminal Illness

Despite a sleepy sound guy and a later start the 3rd Fall debut was a success! We want to thank Plotting The Crime & Pop Suicide for setting us up for a 90 minute set! That was awesome, we were honestly thinking that we'd get about 60 minutes at the max.

We had a few minor hiccups, but all in all we had more fun than anything. It was awesome seeing all the support out there from family and friends. We hope to see all of at our next show on Saturday, July 26th at the Hat Trick Lounge in downtown St. Paul.

3 Rehearsals & a Gig

3 more rehearsals until the big debut on Friday June 6th! We're all excited to finally get out and show off our project! Although I've heard through the rumor mill that Rob's aka "Big Unit" project is the biggest. We'll be playing about an 1.25 hours at our first show, but expect it to be an upbeat non-stop hour!

Down With The Sickness

A few updates:

Mike K. has been down and out the last month with some type of ebola virus or bird flu, so we've had sporadic rehearsals here and there.

We have lined up another band for the Terminal show on Friday, June 6th. We'll be playing with Pop Suicide and Plotting The Crime. We've also lined up two more shows, one at The Hat Trick Lounge in downtown St. Paul and another at Neisen's in Savage, check the schedule on the home page for more details.

We've also changed the name of the band, well, sort of. We are now going by 3rd Fall. We've also updated our emails with the new band name:

It's Been Awhile!

Almost two months with no updated posts! Things are going well, we're pushing our way through our material as we get tighter and tighter as a musical unit. We've secured our first gig at the Terminal Bar in Minneapolis on Friday June 6th. We'll be with PopSuicide from Madison WI and another band yet to be determined. We are also currently shopping for more gigs throughout the summer, keep an eye on the schedule!

Back At It

After a two week break due to v-day & schedules we'll be back in the rehearsal studio (aka Mike's Basement) to wrap up our first set of material. We'll be in rehearsal mode for 3 additional weeks before we take another week off.

Steady

As of Thursday, February 7th we'll be 80% of the way complete with our first set of material. At this pace, we may be out sooner than expected, one never knows!

Finding Direction

We held our first rehearsal on Thursday, January 10th unfortunately without our lead guitarist Nathan. Things went well and our next rehearsal is scheduled for Thursday, January 24th. This will be our first rehearsal with all members of the band and we are stoked to have everyone together!

We've been discussing direction and material in the mean time and we will have an energetic list of songs. We will be covering many songs from the 80's, 90's and 00's. All of course in the spirit of punk rock, which equates to a live, loud and in your face show. Once we have a decent list of material we will post it to the site.

With our vast range of experience we will be developing into a band that will put on a show that will always be fresh, fun and unforgettable. We will have a little something for everyone. We are looking to be fully up and running around the end of April, so keep your hats on and we'll be looking for your support to promote our first show.

We have made a few major changes to the web page and posted a new logo. We've also created personalized email addresses for the band. Use the following emails if you wish to contact any of us directly:

1st Post

Hey! Welcome to our E-team blog.

A little background about us:

We are 4 guys who have gotten together to form your not-so-typical cover band with a dash of originals thrown in for flavor. All four of us come from varied musical backgrounds which will enable us to create an addicting sound and energy you won't hear from your run of the mill bar band.

We finally got an opportunity to piece together our puzzle on 12/3/07. We are going to meet again in January to jam and start cranking on some material. Look for our next update then! Later!
